About this deal

If you’re looking for a straightforward cylinder vacuum that won’t let you down, the Henry is a great choice for carpets and hard floors.

With a charming exterior and simple design, you could be forgiven for thinking it can’t compete with more expensive models. If the filter becomes smelly, you can use bag fresheners to improve the smell of the air, or alternatively you can purchase a replacement filter. If you need a wet and dry vacuum and like the design of the Henry Hoover range, you can’t go far wrong with the George. Perhaps the only controversial element of the Henry Quick is the fact that it boasts dust-free emptying. It still has a 10 metre cable, on-board tool storage and energy efficient motor, but is easier to move around.

With five times more capacity than many bagless vacuum cleaners and a whopping 10 metre cable, Hetty gets the job done! People did used to complain about the twin motors back in the early days, since the double-motor meant double-volume. Moving Hetty around as you vacuum doesn’t feel difficult, but the two large fixed wheels means she’s not as manoeuvrable as some cylinder vacuums. It comes with all the same tools as Hetty, but you also get an additional hard floor tool and an Airobrush tool, which is designed to give carpets a deeper clean.

Having reviewed all of the Numatic vacuum cleaners over the course of the last 6 years, James is highly experienced at helping you choose the right model for your specific needs. However, despite the recycled plastic material of the hoover pods, and their capacity, the ultra-environmentally conscious might spend a little bit more for a zero-waste vacuum.

Think about it, when have you ever felt the need to replace one, except to jump on the bandwagon for the shiny, techy new pseudo- robotic vacuum cleaners on the market? Green in colour, Harry comes with an additional Hairo brush which is perfect for picking up pet hair from both floors and upholstery. As a result, you’ll find that 1 litre is more than enough to get you through a fair few house cleans.

It has many of the same features as the corded version, but comes with a 36V battery and is one of the few cordless vacs to have a bagged design. Aside from the cordless design, it has a 6 litre capacity (which is huge for a cordless), power boost mode, and HepaFlo bags. It’s more expensive, but the Airobrush floor head is great for cleaning carpets and removing pet hair.On my first go with Hetty, I did a full vacuum of my whole house, which is something I rarely do these days thanks to the short runtime of my cordless vacuum. There’s not too much that can go wrong and the sturdy build quality really does make Hetty feel like she’s built to last.
