About this deal

She has made a significant contribution to raising awareness and inspiring women to understand their bodies better. Okay, that's a terrible title but something in a similar vein to reflect its heavy focus on hormone replacement therapy being the be-and-end-all solution for some women. Those tests were clear, thankfully, but I dumped the compounded HRT and went cold turkey until a friend recommended Dr Louise Newson, a campaigning menopause specialist with a clinic in Stratford-upon-Avon employing 40 doctors and there’s still a three-month waiting list – most of the patients are women who have been refused HRT by their GPs.

The anecdotes and examples from letters gathered from a range of people (who I assume were contacts from Davina's social media) were informative and interesting but made to seem a little fake by the actors who read them in an overly-enthusiastic range of English accents. out of 5 stars as it made me cry, gave me lots of easy to digest information and science and whilst I didn't necessarily agree with Davina on all or other topics, her committment to achieving change for 51% of the population is to be highly commended. She said: “I think keeping your muscle strength is really important so strength training, which feels really counterproductive sometimes. She describes how ‘no one’ should have to suffer, well I do, I have to as there are no alternatives. Full of lots of real people stories to help those that maybe feel somewhat alone or as if they’re going crazy, especially if experiencing this early in age.A great book to start conversations, find resources and tools to understand and better embrace a woman's second spring which can often bring devastating changes but with the right tweaks can offer new opportunities to enjoy life fully. Nevertheless, Menopausing does serve a crucial purpose in dispelling the isolation that women often feel when grappling with the myriad of symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause. In fact, the book goes as far as criticizing the prescription of antidepressants for women experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. Menopausing will build an empowered, supportive community to break this terrible silence once and for all.

Smashing taboos and debunking myths this book provides you with evidence-based information, from zero sex drive, to dry vaginas, hair loss, night sweats, depression, and much more - Menopuasing has got it all covered.Every woman will experience the menopause, and we need information to make informed decisions about our bodies and ultimately, our lives … mic drop. I now have a list of symptoms, knowledge about what kinds of treatments I might wish to try and am going to make an appointment. She now prefers to see her menopausal breakdown as a breakthrough, having navigated the transition with therapy, mindful meditation, exercise and healthier eating. The book, titled Menopausing, follows on from the success of the Channel 4 documentary Davina presented alongside Dr Louise Newson back in May, Sex, Myths and the Menopause.
