But it turns out that I’m actually quite a fan of all four Casamigos products (Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Mezcal). Received a free sample for review, and having never drunk tequila before I cannot compare it, but I liked it. Casamigos is named after Clooney and Gerber's homes in Mexico, and roughly translates to “House of Friends”.
If your bottle doesn’t have a NOM, that means it’s not certified by the TRC (Tequila Regulatory Council), and not an authentic Tequila producer. It was then that Clooney recommended to Gerber that they create a tequila they would enjoy, one catered to their own taste.
