About this deal

I am currently reviewing my network at home, and have just replaced my Netgear X9000 with a new Unifi network. Whilst its in the early stages i've found it much easier to control and understand how the system is behaving. Standard (plaintext) HTTP is disabled, and encrypted TLS/SSL is in use. Use a https prefix to access the router WUI using SSL/TLS. If you use DrayTek's ACS-SI management platform, you can use that to roll out the new firmware to all products en-masse. LSYMB This parameter reports the actual number of bits per symbol assigned to the latency path in which the bearer channel is transported. This value does not include trellis overhead. It ranges from 0 to 65535. Maximum possible value is 3825 in case of ADSL2 and 7665 in case of ADSL2+.

You didn't answer the previous question though. Is the modem properly connected to the internet? The admin interface on your modem may be different to my router, but if it's similar you could try going to "diagnostics" and then "DSL stats", and also "online status" then "Physical connection" to see the connection status. I had the same problem, identical down to the 73999 sync speed, except, the cab I'm connected to is a Huawei. Go to [WAN] - [Internet Access] in the web interface and set the WAN interface to be used with the Vigor 130 and set the Access Mode to PPPoE mode: DrayTek routers with Ethernet WAN interfaces are able to connect to a BT Infinity or other ISPs similar BT FTTC based broadband (Sometimes referred to as Fibre Broadband) service using the BT Openreach modem, which is commonly supplied with current BT FTTC installations. The BT Openreach modem converts the VDSL2 connection used by BT's FTTC service into Ethernet. There are many Broadcom chipset based VDSL2 modem/routers that can be configured for use as a modem, rather than buying an Openreach Huawei modem. Presumably an Openreach ECI modem would have similar performance to the Draytek, which both use Lantiq chipsets. When the DSL LED is lit solidly, the Vigor 130 has established the link to the DSL line and can be used for bridging. The TCP port has been changed. By default, HTTP uses port 80, but you can deliberatelychange that. If you have done so, you need to append the port number to the URL, for example I won't specify a precise model but, yes, the general, majority, opinion is that ZyXEL devices tend to perform best. Of course there are always "corner cases" which will be the exception.

At the moment, the Vigor modem has no way to communicate directly with the UDMP, and the UDMP doesn’t know anything about the Vigor modem itself. To resolve this we need to: The DrayTekVigor 130is an ADSL and VDSL modem with an Ethernet connection; it is not a router but a true ADSL/VDSL Ethernet Modem (bridge). The Vigor 130 provides compatibility with all current UK VDSL/ADSL technologies; it has been extensively tested and tuned to provide a robust and reliable DSL connection. To show more detailed line statistics, enter "vdsl status more" (or "adsl status more" for an ADSL line) Interesting that you have a HH5A as that is a Lantiq chipset like the 130 but you don't experience any issues with it.

DS Actual Rate: The downstream sync rate in bits per second, limited by ISP's line profile US Actual Rate: The upstream sync rate in bits per second, limited by ISP's line profile With the Vigor 130 modem now configured to bridge VDSL to Ethernet with no VLAN tag added by the modem, the router can be configured to use this. Vigor 130 modems provide BT Superfast Fibre and ADSL2+ capability and feature one LAN port. This is the standard modem design.

Once logged in, set up the static route on the modem by issuing the command: ip route add static
