in fast and slow motion refers to the switching between the fast or slow speed and the standard speed.Along with the main sensor, Honor also includes an ultra-wide lens for added versatility. While it’s good to have, allowing you to capture far more with its 120-degree field view, it’s a significant downgrade in terms of resolution (at just 8 megapixels) – and I also experienced notable shutter lag with this lens. relative humidity of 45% to 80%, 66W HONOR charger and the original charging cable are used to charge When it was time for the Snapdragon 778G to strut its stuff, I wasn’t left disappointed. Daily tasks, from playing videos and music to browsing various social media apps, were carried out without any lag whatsoever, and the Honor 50 also seemed to cope very well with playing mobile games. What’s more, you’ll also get 5G mobile data where available, which is far from a guarantee with devices at this price point. Test Type The display of the Honor 50 is a 6.57-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The maximum brightness reaches a good 722 cd/m², but only up to 527 cd/m² can be set without an active illumination sensor. Up to 933 cd/m² brightness is achieved in the APL50 test. The lowest adjustable brightness level is 3.68 cd/m², and the display's illumination reaches 97 percent.

Battery life: Smartphone with long runtime

As mentioned, the main camera performs pretty well in low-light conditions, and we took some good snaps of fires and fireworks that weren’t as blown-out or obscured as similar images have been on other phones we’ve used. In our practical WLAN test, the Honor 50 achieves a runtime of just over 15 hours. Thus, it can utilize its 4,300 mAh battery quite well. The main reason this smartphone is a big deal isn’t down to any of its impressive hardware specs, but rather the return of Google Mobile Services.

HONOR 50 - Product Introduction, features, Performance HONOR 50 - Product Introduction, features, Performance

The Honor 50 has a screen with good contrast and punchy colors, two really useful cameras (the 108MP main and 32MP selfie snappers), and an impressively long-lasting battery. It also feels comfortable in the hand, has a well-optimized user interface, and proved powerful enough for most of our gaming needs. The Honor 50’s speakers are… okay. They sound a bit average for phone speakers, getting a bit tinny when turned to high volumes, but they’re suitable for phone calls and the like. Software The front camera of the Honor 50 can take pictures with a 32 MP sensor. The quality is very good and even fine details and structures are clearly visible. Colors look quite natural, but they can also be adjusted via predefined color filters. Overall, you’ll find that the main camera sensor is strong and reliable in most contexts, but you may well be disappointed by the quality of the auxiliary sensors. Performance The formal separation from Huawei also means that Honor is no longer subject to the trade restrictions that prevented the use of different technologies. Thus, the Android phone can now be shipped with Google services again and is allowed to use a current Qualcomm chip with 5G. This ensures decent competition against devices like the Xiaomi 11T or the Motorola Edge 20.

But looks are one thing, and performance is another. There’s something a little bit… well, magic, about Magic UI. The Honor 50 can establish mobile connections in GSM, 3G, LTE, and 5G networks. However, only two GSM and 3G bands are supported. The installed SoC supports LTE Cat. 18, which theoretically allows up to 1200 MBit/s for downlinking and a maximum of 225 MBit/s for uploading data. Selfies look good even in low-light conditions, and we particularly like how the Portrait mode’s tweaks don't ruin the natural look of skin and hair, as they often do on other phones.
