Sally's books have been heralded “enchanting” by The Herald Sun, “smart and engaging” by Publisher’s Weekly, and New York Times bestselling authors Liane Moriarty and Emily Giffin have praised Sally’s novels as “women’s fiction at its finest” and “totally absorbing”. Their new cliff side home-20 meters from “The Drop” is meant to be a fresh start, for the couple and their two young daughters, Freya and Asha, and at first it is. But this is not a book you should discuss based on your mind. Whether you’ll like this book – whether you can see through all this – depends on whether this book touches you. You’ve gone through a major life challenge or difficulty together. You came together at a time in your lives to share a particular life lesson that helped both of you to evolve. Um fim agridoce, mas que era o único possível - o amor é tudo e somos melhores por termos amor nas nossas vidas, por termos amado.

Soulmate (and Why Most People Get it Wrong) What is a Soulmate (and Why Most People Get it Wrong)

This is the only book which Holly Bourne has ever included a fantastical, sci-fi element too. Although fun, I'm not sure if it worked and I'm glad she stayed away from mixing genres since. A lot of dark, elusive stories are going on throughout and never a dull moment especially when the woman that jumped tells her side from purgatory.Get ready for a thrilling, addictive novel about marriage, betrayal, and the secrets that push us to the edge in Sally Hepworth's The Soulmate.

And to tell you honestly, I loved the ending. I am so happy that they didn't end up together. It is actually better that way rather having a happy ending without reasonable and clear explanation. Hepworth has a way of sketching out the dynamics in dysfunctional families that just hooks the reader. This time, it's a marriage that seems perfect from the outside, but the flaws are there once you peel away the layers. Add to that children, extended families, and a dose of mystery, and it makes the whole thing very fun and exciting.A menos de la mitad del libro ya estaba deseando que pasase algo, y seguí leyendo con la esperanza (lo leí del tirón hasta el final para acabar ya) . Se me hizo un libro tedioso. Then the ending happened. And I was... quite shook? Really disturbed? Disappointed? Angry? All of them at once and more?

Two interesting POVs and the Then and Now format give readers the full story. I enjoy this for the most part but the reveal and ending were sort of eh for me. I know most friends love this one so I'm definitely an outlier. I mostly enjoy this so I think you should try it to find out for yourself. Read on for a breakdown on what a soulmate is, and a few tools you can use to attract soulmates into your life. What a soulmate is not The day came when Gabe was unable to prevent a jump. Pippa witnessed the event through their kitchen window and begins to question what she saw. The person has caused you to change in some manner. Maybe your views have expanded or you’ve dealt with a wound or trauma that needed to be dealt with as a result of your relationship with this person.

Secrets, betrayals, and twists galore, it is quite an exciting read. Recommended to read any time of the year, this fast paced, character driven novel is sure to bust the greatest reading slump. As for the big reveal at the end, there really wasn't anything like that. While everything is explained and resolved, there certainly weren't any jaw-dropping or even eyebrow-raising moments. But it still feels like a satisfying conclusion.

When she learns the identity of the woman, her heart sinks! She knows the woman before and this information can ruin everything about their lives. I LOVE to hear a familiar voice and always enjoy Barrie Kreinik's narration. Jessica Douglas-Henry is excellent as well. River Knight was looking forward to a peaceful vacation in the mountains with her two best friends, Jo and Star. The last thing she expected was to for her BFFs be abducted by literal aliens! Sneaking about the spaceship in an attempt to rescue them she finds herself on an unplanned vacation to the stars. It [Twilight] got me thinking about why we always want love to have this huge overarching dramatic narrative. Why do we crave fireworks and drama and forbidden-this-and-that, when it's actually probably not very good for us? So I took the most romantic idea of all -soulmates- and thought, What would happen if finding your soulmate was actually the worst thing ever?Narrated by Pippa and Amanda, I enjoyed both stories. I didn’t love the characters, but I didn’t hate them. Hepworth does a solid job of showing not only the good and bad sides of a marriage but also the good and bad sides of the characters. In the beginning, I was more intrigued by Pippa, but by the end, I wanted more of Amanda. Sally is quite the storyteller giving us some nice twists. I was kept engaged and was able to bust it out at 2x in just one day. The narrative is shared across “Now” and “Then” (Pippa’s Pov) and “Before" and “After" (Amanda’s PoV). The author touches upon themes of love, marriage and fidelity and mental health, among others. None of the characters are particularly likable, though I could sympathize with Amanda to an extent and Gabe for his personal struggles. On this note, I had serious issues with how the topic of mental health was handled in this story. We are shown that Gabe was receiving professional help, but I found it hard to believe Pippa did not question the initial diagnosis. As the narrative begins to shed light on past events, I thought Pippa, a lawyer by profession who has dealt with Gabe’s past indiscretions and mental health issues in the past, chose to ignore or rather was in denial over the gravity of the situation in the present timeline. With two young children at home, one would expect her to be circumspect and act on it, instead of wishing her troubles away and second-guessing her suspicions. As a plot point, I found this aspect of the story utterly unconvincing.
