The colors are very saturated and they flow quite smoothly over the paper. The application is good and relatively deep colors can be put on the paper with minimal effort. These are not water-soluble so blending will have to be through other methods but this is not a big deal as the blending is challenging but rewarding and worth the added effort. The color that is produced is quite vivid and really stands out. You may want to try using these in combination with a more muted colored pencil set for a really nice effect. Coloured pencils with soft leads should never be sharpened to a long point, because they are more likely to break. Instead, use a mechanical pencil sharpener (never an electric one) and sharpen to a short point. The Staedtler Ergosoft Colored Pencils are quite unique in that they are triangular-shaped and furthermore they come with an A.B.S. protective coating that reinforces the wax-based core. Essentially they can go through a lot of wear and tear and still hold up. Overall, they lay down color quite well and show pretty good pigmentation. Tip: Many STAEDTLER coloured pencils are available in a set as well as individually. You can therefore buy replacements of your favourite colours, which usually get used up sooner.

Die samtweiche Dreikantoberfläche ist gummiert, dadurch rutschen die Finger nicht so schnell Richtung angespitzer Mine, was bei Grundschülern oft passiert und sie malen ja auch recht viel. Mein Sohn meinte, mit diesen Stiften verkrampft auch seine Hand nicht so leicht, weil er den Stift nicht so fest halten muss. Dazu kommt, dass er beim Schreiben und Malen oftmals leicht feuchte Hände bekommt, die dann aber durch die Gummierung die Finger an Ort und Stelle halten.
