Again image quality is similar, good out to the corners of the APS-C frame and chromatic aberration is not visible. Come ho scritto sopra... potete mettergli soprannome "Dyson" o "Folletto", è indifferente, ingloba sempre più polvere di quanto immaginate, in compenso (non so come fa) anche se non è tropicalizzato, ha resistito ad ogni foto ai concerti o ad eventi dove pioveva di brutto.

Overall: I really do love this lens, for the price it is almost unbeatable. The build is very good, no problems with that. It is solid and feels good in the hands, the zoom is a bit stiff and there is no focus limiter, but these are minor points. The focusing system is good, and does a good job speed wise. And the image quality is truly great until 200mm and a little stopped down, only degrading in the 300mm range to an ok level. In the end I can only end this review with high praise, and highly recommend it for anyone that wants to get a lens in this range, but doesn’t want to pay more for the main brands. I give this lens a solid 4/5 considering price point and performance, it is just as good as the main brands for half the price. The Tamron has modestly less flare, less barrel distortion at 70mm and modestly less pincushion distortion at 300mm. With a full-frame digital or 35mm SLR, portrait and medium telephoto shots can be achieved on the wider 70mm end of the range and spectacular telephoto shots at the longer 300mm side. When using an ASP-C sensor camera the angle of view changes, giving it the equivalent range of 109-465mm for bold ultra-telephoto shots. And with a maximum magnification ratio 1:4, the lens can be used to explore in the realm of semi-macro photography.

If you compare the sharpness of the Tamron SP 70-300 mm with the sharpness of more expensive 70-300 mm zooms from other brands, this Tamron is the man. The center sharpness, expressed in lines/sensor height, is generally high. Only at the longest focal lengths is the center sharpness visibly lower. If you have a shot made at 300 mm blown up to 100% on your screen, then it looks less sharp, woollier than pictures made at shorter focal lengths. That is not an unusual occurrence with telephoto zoom lenses; only the most expensive zoom lenses also perform excellently at the longest focal length. The edge sharpness is lower than the center sharpness. This difference is visible at 300 mm, but at all the other focal lengths the corners are still so sharp that in practice, most photographers won’t notice that the center is even sharper.A few weeks ago, we reviewed the Tamron SP 70-300 mm on a camera with a full frame sensor (Nikon D800E).
