Retrofuturistic, innovative, iconic: the design of Moon Boot has a heritage rooted since 1969, the year Giancarlo Zanatta founded the Tecnica Group from his father Oreste's shoe factory. From a vocation dedicated to the world of sportswear, Moon Boot has succeeded in creating an instantly recognizable and strongly identifiable footwear model. The shape of the sole and the trademark lacing have given Moon Boot the status of the ultimate ski boot, making them a one-of-a-kind type of footwear.

I first played this game designed by Franz Coudrec and illustrated beautifully by Sylvain Aublin at EGX where I was asked to demonstrate it. In 2004, they received exposure through the nerdy protagonist of the 2004 film Napoleon Dynamite. [2] [4]

The Jist

The boot is constructed with a thin rubber outsole and cellular rubber midsole covered by nylon fabrics and using polyurethane foams. Company founder Giancarlo Zanatta, after watching the lunar landing and being inspired by the shape and technology of the astronauts' boots, drew sketches and then began to design and develop the original Moon Boot. Tecnica registered worldwide the trademark Moon Boot name in 1978. Whether in the mountains, in the snow, or on city sidewalks, the water-repellent uppers and the soles of different Moon Boot models will adapt to any environment and personal need. I really enjoy the game and it can be played in around 15-30 minutes, and gives you a good game experience whilst not taking too long.

I love the artwork and that drew me in fairly early on, it’s cute and I knew right away that would get Megan and Lindsay to want to play it. What’s Good With their chunky style and bright colours, Moon Boots are sure to turn heads wherever you go. You’ll discover a range of designs in our collection – from cosy shearling and suede styles to thermal jersey padding to keep you warm. The parts you salvage are added to your robot, and the art matches up with the robot on the player boards, and enhances your combat ability. Some upgrades, such as extra dice or defences go to the top and side of your player board. The first phase of the game is a card drafting phase in which you salvage parts to make your robot better, these components costing you either 2 energy, 1 energy or being free. This is important and energy is also your robots life, some particularly good components like re-rolls and extra dice cost you an additional energy.
