The care for succulents varies based on the type and origin. Generally, succulents like bright light and warm temperatures. But, this depends on the species. Bright direct sunlight is suitable for Echeveria, Sedum and Crassula and the temperature should be between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). For Haworthia, Gasteria and Aloe Vera, moderate sunlight or partial shade is preferred and the temperature should be between 50°F to 70°F (10°C to 21°C). Sansevieria trifasciata and Snake Plant should be exposed to fluorescent light with a temperature below 40°F (4.5°C). By carefully considering your gardening needs and the types of plants you’re growing, you can make the right choice between lightweight and heavy pot fillers.
