As they prepare to enjoy a level without the kids, three hobbits (being Rod Flanders, Todd Flanders and Ralph Wiggum) pass them fleeing from a two-headed Patty and Selma dragon. The game begins with Homer having a candy-induced fantasy about a world of chocolate where he tries to catch and eat a white chocolate rabbit; upon waking up he is upset to find that it was all a dream.

Marge watches as Martin Prince carjacks Ned Flanders' hatchback after purchasing the new video game, Grand Theft Scratchy and decides to protest against the violence in the newest video game, despite Mayor Quimby's taking of bribes. After the Simpsons eliminate God's consoles, Bart threatens to drop God's memory card if he doesn't help them and explain everything. As thanks, the mayor of the village rewards Homer with one of their prize paintings—which conveniently has the Private Burns key card! However, Homer uses his ball form to roll up a slope and break the catwalk that Groening stood upon. Rizzer, however, was still pleased with the amount of parody in the game and considered The Simpsons the "perfect vehicle to poke fun at the games industry". There’s loads of chatter in this game, from the ramblings of Homer as he skips through one of his chocolate-fuelled dream levels to the wisecracking comments dispensed by the mischievous Bart. While the game for each system includes two episodes set in Springfield, a Springfield hub is also included that can be explored freely without any goals, and contains additional collectibles and cliches. As you play through the game, you’ll see a lot of familiar faces as the game features many of your favourite Simpsons characters.

The satire continues with sub-levels that spoof Gauntlet, Frogger, and Space Invaders in one-off challenges. It is a third-person action game featuring an original storyline written by Tim Long, Matt Selman, and Matt Warburton.
