About this deal

It is highly illustrated, so even though this is a big book with a lot of pages it still works for most children, not just those that are super keen on books. Moreover, Cowell’s writing style is engaging and accessible, making it suitable for readers of ages. Your payment method will be charged immediately, and the product is expected to ship on or around September 19, 2023. Characters are alive and imperfect, providing a truly fantastic trajectory of growth and learning that readers will learn and grow from themselves. I have missed 'The Wizards of Once' so much since the series ended, and 'Which Way to Anywhere' fills that black hole inside of me where 'Wizards' once occupied.

One of the standout aspects of “Which way to Anywhere” is Cowell’s exceptional ability to ignite the reader’s imagination. Ond heb yn wybod iddyn nhw, mae’r bydoedd ffantasi y mae K2 yn tynnu eu llun yn bodoli, ac mae un ohonyn nhw’n fyd gwahanol dychrynllyd lle mae bodau dynol wedi cael eu hela i farwolaeth. After meeting a coven of old ladies, it becomes clear that Orla's arrival in Poldevel is no longer a coincidence. The depths of our Children's Laureate's imagination knows no bounds in this action-packed adventure about a boy who can create maps to transport himself into imaginary worlds. On the whole, Which Way to Anywhere was a whimsical read filled with imaginative landscapes and the main character, K2 is relatable in that he doesn’t feel good enough or comfortable in his own abilities. The story starts with K2 in a terrifying alternate world where humans have been hunted to death, he’s as thin as a twig, with broken glasses. With a terrible beast and a petrifying robot assassin in their way, they must learn to work together quickly - because the future of their family is at stake .

Thank you to the author, the publisher Little Brown Young Readers, the team at TBR and Beyond Tours, and NetGalley for providing me with a complimentary review copy of the book as part of my participation in the blog tour. They are fairly ordinary children (although K2 and Izzabird have some odd magical relatives) living normal lives on Earth in the present day. There were Cyril and Horizabel and THE EXCORIATOR and Vorcxix, two aunts and two speaking robots, there was family history, a possibly planet destroying government, auras, a tree cure, pirates and bounty hunters and it felt like too much for one book.I suspect this will change in the next book as the adults are warned to teach their children how to use magic for everyone’s safety. Despite the evil plans of distraction from my two kittens, even they couldn't stop me from devouring the newest book from the queen of children's literature. This series will not only leave children entertained, but will also empower them to battle climate change and environmental issues. It is also full of humorous situations that brings extra entertainment in its twisty, action-packed fantasy/sci-fi world. A huge thank you to the publisher for sending me this book before its highly-anticipated release in September, of which I urge everyone with a longing to escape this world, to leap into this one.

This book has given me a taste for what magic is possible but it’s clear we’ve only just scratched the surface. On another note, the O’Hero family’s history plays a large role in the story and the world, so it was interesting to learn about that over the course of the book. The growth arc for the characters is authentic and absorbing, and Cowell effortlessly brings them alive on the page. When previously we travelled to fantastical historicalish settings, then this time we get a bit more sci-fi'ish vibes. There is magic; the O’Heros have magical powers, as do some other characters, but there are also robots and explanations of wormholes and other dimensions, and some characters are a mixture of both.Cressida Cowell is the only author who can transport me back to my own childhood wonder through ingenious, imaginative storytelling. From the bestselling author of How to Train Your Dragon and The Wizards of Once comes an out-of-this-world new adventure. There is a magical world with a beast and a robot assassin, trees and plants that aren’t completely how you would assume them to be, as well as a family with magic powers. It is full of brilliant characters, dialogue, and a daring rescue mission with terrible beasts and a robot assassin. Still, they resent Theo and fear his suspicions and his allegation that their mother is a witch will lead to trouble.
