It arrived today, and is a thoroughly sturdy little beast, but nonetheless, it’s still looks refined and beautifully made.

Lucky for me, the Chef’n Potato Ricer combines both of these interests, and made my first time making “real” mashed potatoes all by myself a breeze, with very little arm strength required.

The Fresh Force is slightly heavier than the other ricers, but it's easy to use and makes excellent purées. If you have the time to spare, bake the potatoes with the skins on, then cool and peel them before pressing them.

But hear me out: I only just graduated college, during which most of my dishes were selected for their ease and speed. A potato ricer may not be an essential piece of cookware for most people, but there’s no denying that it guarantees perfectly smooth mashed potatoes. All in all a very high quality kitchen gadget that apart from being the most efficient ricer on the market is really made to last years and just oozes class!The larger gauge ideal for people who like their mashed potatoes to be a lil chunky, while the medium gage works well for a gnocchi dough or for pouring batter through for spaetzle. More efficient than conventional potato presses or ricers, it has a patented dual gear-mechanism to increase the pressing power and it remains comfortable in the hand when squeezing. If you can mash cooked potatoes into the perfect consistency with a standard potato masher, a gourmand’s food mill (no thanks) or dare we say.
