I wasn’t sure how it was going to to play out in the end but I was happy with the way it turned out. It’s definitely slow to get going but it’s well worth persisting as it becomes an enjoyable, entertaining read. Some of the best parts of the book of the dynamics between mother and daughter which are acutely observed as they navigate the big secret that lies between them.
