About this deal

The taste is melted chocolate that rests on the tongue before releasing a hint of honey in your cheeks. The process used to make Bushmills all starts from malt barley, and is grinded into mash and then mixed with hot water to make wort. The essential Bushmills 10 Year Old comprises a marriage of spirits aged for at least a decade in ex-bourbon barrels and sherry butts. Bushmills 10 year old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured for at least 10 years in sherry and bourbon seasoned barrels, which give it a honey, vanilla and milk chocolate flavours.

This one tastes more fruit heavy whereas the previous bottling was more creamy with a fruity topping.Bushmills are one of the most famous brands in Irish whiskey, if not spirits in general, and lay claim to being not only the oldest distillery in Ireland, but the oldest whiskey distillery in the world. Single malt whiskey has been made in the small Northern Irish village of Bushmills since 1608,when Shakespeare was still writing his plays, making us the pioneer of Irish single malt. The sherry really overpowers the vanilla and honey from the bourbon casks and takes away from the desert like flavour of this. Whilst some pedants might note that the company itself didn’t come into existence until 1784, 1608 being the date King James VI/I gave a licence to distil to the contemporary landowner, you’re still looking at a very long pedigree.

Whether or not you were a whisky drinker, everyone enjoyed the experience and I'd recommend the excursion to anyone. While its sibling, Black Bush, leans into the sherry flavours more, this is a great advert for an all-malt Irish whiskey. Their aged releases include 10, 16 and 21 year old expressions, while those looking to try interesting finishes might be tempted by the Bushmills Caribbean Rum . It's packaged in that iconic squared-off bottle, with the famous label in a darker hue than the original. It has a distinctive light and fruity aroma and delivers 10 years of maturation in primarily bourbon barrels.

Now it is time for the distillation, the wash is boiled to distil the alcohol from the water and it is tripled distilled then matured in oak barrels. Bushmills Bushmills Irish Whiskey is crafted with care at The Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The year 2011 and still they are growing in popularity with Bon Iver, Elijah Wood and Chromeo all becoming ambassadors for the brand.

Bushmills Malt 10 Year Old is beautifully rounded with a distinct honeyed sweetness and a rich warming character. Some of the data that are collected include the number of visitors, their source, and the pages they visit anonymously.

A favourite whiskey of many years; and even if unintentional, Bushmills 10 Years Old is probably as near a benchmark as I'll admit to having. Close to the Giant's Causeway the water supply for the Bushmills distillery runs through the basalt rock and then through peat. Please note, whilst the majority of parcels sent on this service are received next day, this is not guaranteed. The ever-popular Bushmills 10 Year Old is a marriage of single malts matured for at least 10 years in a combination of Bourbon barrels and sherry butts. Based in County Antrim in Northern Ireland, Bushmills are proud of the fact that they only use malted barley, and triple distil their spirit.

Initial accents of zesty citrus fruits intertwined with the distinctive Bushmills honey character, followed by lingering sweet aromas of fresh vanilla and creamy milk chocolate.
