There is a silly surprise ending, which left my kids hoping there would be another book, however I felt the point was made.I've won a number of prizes, most recently The Royal Mail Award for Scottish Children's Books for the picture book Billy Monster's Daymare. The illustrations are wonderful and the attention to detail with a rabbit following Benny is so well considered. While we worked full time jobs in the engineering industry, both enthusiastic about burgersand food, we decided to open a burger van in our hometown of Port Talbot. This story encourages children to think about what is ‘too much’ of something and the benefits of having a healthy balanced diet. Chased by a pack of hungry dogs, Benny escapes into a field only to be confronted by a herd of cows - who point out that Benny is made from.

While this book does cover healthy eating habits and a balanced diet, it does portray a child turning into food.
