About this deal
I also tested the new wireless connectivity for Xbox One controllers, and that worked great as well. Setup was mostly easy, with exception to the turbo and button mapping, but once I was able to get it going, it worked well. I didn't personally test any of the controllers using the adapter on my PC but I have no reason to think it would function any differently than it does on console. Connect the Xbox 360 / Xbox One/ PS3 / PS4 / Switch Pro wired controller or game pad to Wingman XB through the USB port.
with SEGA Astro City mini / SEGA Mega Drive Mini / SEGA Genesis Mini / Mega Drive, PC Engine and PC! With that nerve wracking mystery solved, I was finally able to pop the converter onto my devices and see how well it ran. Connect the converter to PC with fighting sticks, then press buttons in Device and Printers, and make sureif it works. I compared this with a MayFlash Magic-NS I previously purchased on my own (which converts controllers to work on PC, Switch, and some other mini systems like the PlayStation and NeoGeo Mini) and it could handle those, so I have to give the nod to MayFlash there.Huge thanks go out to Brook Designs for provisioning us with a review unit of the Wingman XB2 Controller Cross-Platform Converter. I certainly don’t, as we have two cats in the house who see any trailing cable as fair game and will not hesitate to pounce!
The Wingman XB2 is extremely similar to its predecessor, so unless you really need Xbox One/Series wireless controller connectivity, or the new Turbo functionality, then I doubt an upgrade makes sense.Console, racing, flight – if some games work better with a different kind of controller, I'm probably going to get one. Just connect to wired Xbox Series X|S / wired Xbox360 / wired Xbox One / PS5 / PS4 / PS3 / Switch Pro / SEGA Astro City mini (wired use) / MEGA Drive mini (wired use) controller to use.
