BTW, I love Penhaligon as a frag house and my favorites are Douro, Extract of Limes and Castile but Blenheim is nowhere close to being in this league of legends !The deodorant was excellent but is no longer made (as an aside any fan of Penhaligons now discontinued deodorants will find the Geo F Trumper ones a good replacement). The clear, crisp lemon note is very straight forward and blends with the lavender in a sheer and airy way. all of the "Missing" photocopy signs pasted all over every surface that nobody ever had the courage to remove, so they just disintegrated over time, while we walked by them, day in, day out, and watched. However, the citrus top notes are very short-lived, and as they fade they seem to take the crisp, green woodsiness of the pine with them. A scent that unfortunately doesn't even remotely remind me of its legendary larger than life wearer Winston Churchill.

Furthermore, the pine in some formulations comes across as too strong for others who feel that it smells like floor cleaner or furniture polish. A citrus cologne, with architecture far more formal,crisp and aristocratic than a simple white shirt. It is citrusy due to the overipe Lemon, but as it dries down it is giving me Fruity Loops cereal milk. There's not much more here than sherbet-y lemons, incense and a bit of musk and pine, but it's so nice!

I always thought of this as a summer fragrance, but it's the perfect scent for this time of year and the low temperature. Unfortunately I can't smell any lavender and the lemongrass note is dominant, but it's still nice, aromatic and refreshing.
