We had a couple of issues with my boys not recognising eye colour (they are both colourblind), but it only bothered us a little and they can distinguish the colours when they aren't rushing. As with the original Hatchimal and Hatchimals Surprise, the HatchiBaby needs to be hatched from it's egg, which is done by playing, rubbing, tapping, cuddling, caring and nurturing it. Each Hatchibaby comes with a highchair, and accessories, including a bottle, hairbrush, rattle and cuddle buddy. When the egg is ready to hatch the Hatchibabies’ eyes turn rainbow colours, so they were watching out for this too. Each accessory makes your Hatchibaby respond in different ways, so make sure you read the instructions to see how to use them (different species might have different accessories). You hold both feet for 2 seconds, the eyes flash teal and the Hatchimals HatchiBabies says “hello”in their language.To make your Hatchibaby do their secret trick simply hold the back of the baby’s head until the eyes turn purple and then touch their forehead sensor (between the straps of the bow) twice at the same time. I will never forget the look of happiness on Eva’s face when she received her very first Hatchimal, two years ago now. The Hatchibabies will also respond to the other accessories, such as the rattle and the the Cuddle Buddy, to use these ensure that the monogrammed H faces you and then bring it to your Hatchibabies chest. Elizabeth loves her Hatchibabies and gives it a huge thumbs up, she's really enjoyed caring for it and looking after it both inside and outside of the egg this week. We love hatchi babies and this was actually my gift to my niece last Christmas She loves it so much. With two new species – Ponette and Cheetree – the fun is in finding out whether you have hatched a boy or a girl!

I'm sure you will be glad to here, that again as with the other Hatchimals toys, batteries ( 2 x AA) are included in the Hatchimals HatchiBabies.It looks like Hatchimals HatchiBabies is going to be one of the hit toys this Christmas and likely to sell out. The accessories encourage you to look after your new Hatchibabies and care for it just like you would with a doll.
