About this deal

Like having your turntable close to the wall or something that may prevent the platter from turning. Based on the results of the test I can conclude that the AT-LP60 will not cause record damage, at least not any more damage than would be expected of a similar turntable. This AT-LP60 will help you rediscover your love for 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records that you can use with one of two different speed settings. There’s good channel separation and it’s able to present a quiet background with nice vocal clarity.

My only previous experience with turntables was when i was 6 listing to some kid tales on my parents old turntable . If you go this route, it will allow you to use your AT-LP60 with a compatible receiver, amplifier or pre-amplifier. The removable power cord now features an external AC adapter, which will help with audio signal quality by lowering interference. However, during more detailed musical sections on the inner grooves of your records, you may notice some imperfections surface here.

If you need a record player that can be upgraded and adjusted you may want to consider the Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB.

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of learning the software and spending time recording your albums then this turntable isn’t for you. This allows you to transfer your vinyls over to digital files, which is a really cool feature if you think you’ll need that.

That’s not the end of the world, though, especially as the Audio Technica trades its peer’s instantly gratifying boldness for better precision and organisation. Personally, if pushed, I would say that 30 and 50 are ever-so-slightly noisier, but the difference is so marginal as to be insignificant and I would question whether or not that was down to the recording, or the wear that can be expected if playing a record multiple times in quick succession, rather than the deck itself. Most complains come from people that found the recording process time consuming and the software difficult to use. According to Audio-Technica, these changes result in better tracking (how the needle rides the groove) and reduced resonance (less vibration to distort audio signal). Using the built-in phono preamp, you can hook the turntable's line-level outputs up to an integrated stereo amplifier, AV receiver, computer, boombox, Bluetooth speaker, or any device with an analog audio input.
