About this deal

It's an OK read, catching up with the characters back when they were all 'friends', but at 176 pages it sure felt like a pointless read. for a murder mystery novella it was good and i think i’ll definitely like a good girls guide to murder. The way the clues are laid out and the setting of a remote island with a dysfunctional, wealthy family exude so much Agatha Christie vibes. She lives in London and aside from reading and writing, she enjoys playing video games and watching true crime documentaries so she can pretend to be a detective. The wind was picking up too, making the trees at the end of the yard dance, howling between the gaps in the music.

She knew that this room was Connor’s dad’s office, but the door told her that tonight it was Reginald Remy’s Study. And I had no problem with any of that; some of the paths, however unproductive, were quite inventive and entertaining… but then, I’m a sucker for the ironic and the macabre (Bemis’ glasses breaking at the end of the classic TZ episode “Time Enough At Last”, for example). It did give some good insight into Pip's character more, I just didn't find it mind blowing or anything.

She had also gone for the face-paint-wrinkle look, slightly more subtle and effective than Connor’s. As for telling her who he is when they first meet, you don't get to be a top notch hit man by doing that either. The Borolian Empire is loosely based on the British Empire, and its methods of colonialist expansion, its use of violence and its erasure of indigenous cultures, and its reduction of its own people to a privileged upper class and a starving, downtrodden working class are all too familiar. I do not recommend this book, and if you like this series I would continue it without reading this one. Stylist, 'Non-fiction books you can’t miss in 2023''A heroic and humorous account of the woman who found herself at the head of the No More Page 3 campaign, in a group of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.

It was super fun to revisit the characters we know and love, and even Pip's poor dog gets a mention. Through Dimos, we get to see first-hand how the Free Companies are able to organise themselves without having to resort to hierarchical chains of command. Because it looks pretty entertaining (・∀・) Even though Pippa had to go as far as reaching with her case solving (but I love to see hate-to-lose Pippa). So you can read this first, get a taster for some of the characters and go into the series without spoilers.

Intimate conversation in the cabin, especially about Avery's scars, and her inability to bear children. Bu seride karakterlerden en az biri bir çeşit kanun görevlisi ve bu da aile mesleği gibi bir şey haline gelmiş.

As Connor opened the door, the muffled squealing sounds from within became jazz music coming from the Alexa in the corner of the room. John Paul Renard has been hunting the paid assassin, Monk, for over a year and he finally has a lead that takes him to the Utopia Spa.

I’m eagerly awaiting the release of As Good As Dead, book three, in August, and am also debating bribing the publisher with an offer of cat photos. Dimos finds out that the mountains are home to the anarchist country of Hron, and as he befriends the militia and learns about their ways and their culture, he is shown a way of living free from the tyrannical oppression of the Borolian Empire. And as the play continues things get more interesting and more creepy and boy oh boy I would have loved to play along.
