About this deal

He is fascinated by our human origins, has amassed a wealth of evidence which proves we couldn't possibly have evolved on Earth, and has had the privilege of meeting one extraterrestrial and one alien-human hybrid - neither of which he had expected to meet, and he curses his luck that he didn't have a camera with him.

A scientific evaluation of the evidence for (but mostly against) humanity’s evolution on Planet Earth, by a leading ecologist and environmentalist. Professor Wainwright from the University of Sheffield plans to investigate further, and believes that life is constantly arriving from space that did not originate on Earth. Ellis’ thesis is that humans did not evolve along with the rest of life on earth but that we were planted here by aliens (either fully formed or after being interbred with Neanderthals, he can't decide which), possibly to punish us for being war-mongering and horrible. Silver also uncovers: * The origins of RNA and DNA, and how life evolved - on Earth and elsewhere * A more accurate timeline of human evolution - without the gaps and mistakes * Why the Theory of Evolution is wrong - and how to fix it * Why the Out of Africa theory is wrong - and what really happened * And much, much more Each topic is discussed in depth and backed up with concrete evidence.

Humans are not from Earth: a scientific evaluation of the evidence was a bit of a left-field choice for my reading list I’ll admit. Science was presenting its view to date that it has reached its natural form after passing through human evolution, which Darwin said in his theory. This could be the Jay Gould's "punctuated equilibrium" that explains the jump from homo erectus to homo sapiens. In fact, it quickly becomes clear that we evolved on a world distinctly different from the one we live on today.

In the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible, Adam has been written about how his idol was made from the soil and then the spirit was put into it, then Eve was born after this. It's full of really bad arguments: we are not native to earth because we get sunburns and bad backs, for instance. Silver favors a alien intervention theory but he includes numerous alternatives along with presenting the cracks in the current evolutionary dogma. I was sitting there throwing red flags frenziedly as I read that…and it's not an exceptional paragraph.Though if he believes what he is writing, I would be a little concerned for whatever institution of higher book learning might have awarded him his degree. Overall, it seems like a premature argument of 'What if' with a slice of hesitancy-creating science. This idea, which I also pursue in my upcoming book, The Ascent of Information , leads to a number of quite startling and provocative proposals.
