About this deal

Auxins promote stem elongation, root tips and stems, playing an important role in plant development. Using Rhizopon Rooting Hormone – ensures that your cutting develops strong rooting systems to assure quality plant health and development. For best results, first stand soft stem cuttings in water for 1/2 hour (overnight for hard wood cuttings). The powder formulation contains growth hormones to encourage your babies to root and therefore have a higher success rate in producing your own plants.

It is important to understand that these chemical products, especially synthetic ones, can be toxic.Rooting new plants from parents requires patience, and the cuttings are fragile before the root system develops.

Cut just below a node or leaf join, where there are already naturally occurring plant auxins, then remove any lower leaves, where the roots will grow from. Prevent evaporation from the leaves by creating a humid environment, either by placing the cuttings in a propagator or fixing a clear plastic bag around the pot to lock moisture in. We supply the best quality young plug plants from our nursery in Staffordshire delivered throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Then you can plant your cutting into a trench in the ground, or into a container filled with a suitable growing medium. The parent must be vigorous and healthy, and make sure the growing tip is between three to eight inches long. The rooting powder is a bio-simulator – which provides the natural auxins found in a cutting naturally - to encourage a consistent uniform of roots around the base of the cutting. The rooting powder contains no synthetic growth hormones or fungicides as found in other manufactured hormone rooting powders.
