About this deal

The root of this issue is that the game is a balance of three decks of largely uncontrollable unknowns instead of just one deck you have a large degree of control over. This isn't meant as major critisizm or to deter people from spending the few dollars it cost but rather to urge the maker to make expansions to it. The twist is, if you manage to defeat said hazards, then that hazard joins your fight deck and can be used in later rounds to benefit you and increase your chance of survival. Friday, a solo game, sees the player becoming Robin Crusoe, stuck on an island, fighting for survival, with just a deck of cards to help you survive.

If you use or contribute to this site you agree to abide by our Terms and Conditions and accept our Privacy Policy and Copyright Statement. If you lose the hazard, you lose life equal to the difference - but when losing life, you can also trash cards that you played based on how much life you lose (which can let you get rid of cards that are -1 strength). Yet, even with the aging cards, there are hazard cards that (once defeated) you can put in your deck that allow you to discard (or redraw) a drawn aging card. Last Friday Revised Edition is the updated and revised version of our hidden movement, hunting, and deduction board game, inspired by the popular “slasher” horror movie genre. But, if you’re interested in seeing another designer’s take on deck-building, if you’re open to the idea of a deck builder that plays more like solitaire than Dominion, then Friday will be welcome in your collection.

First, you were trying to equal the green number, but the second time around you face the yellow one, this third time it’s the red. The dangers have a rating I have to equal or beat and they also tell me how many cards I can draw to tackle them, to try to score that rating. I like how you can spend your food/life tokens to play extra cards, but this burns through your own deck quicker, ages you faster and delivers you those crappy penalty cards even sooner. Robinson Crusoe himself is represented by an 18-card starting deck, which you will be modifying during the game by overcoming a deck of hazards through three levels of difficulty until he is ready to face the two pirates in his final challenge. There is also a hazard deck, and each turn you draw two cards from the hazard deck and choose one of them to resolve. Otherwise, he died while fighting the pirates - so either way, you win, because he's leaving you alone.
