About this deal

Skratch Recovery, Coffee Flavor:Mental and physical boost post run. Coffee flavor is excellent and goes great straight into a fresh brewed cup The Kinsei Blast from Asics is the counterpart to the Ultraboost from Adidas - a solid long-distance running shoe that can also be used as a lifestyle shoe due to its appealing design and high level of comfort. It has a 10 mm drop and a total heel height of 39 mm. In combination with the FF-Blast cushioning and the gel padding in the forefoot and rearfoot area, this creates excellent cushioning. However, since your feet are still pushed forward with a soft transition after landing due to the heel height, the shoe still feels very reactive and fast despite its strong cushioning. Not Made for High Speed Over Long Distances DPT/Footwear Science: B-/C+ ( Several attempted methods of stability, however not biomechanically appropriate design in toes with aggressive toe spring. Will limit this shoe to a small population. This shoe has potential though)

Whilst it's certainly no slouch of a shoe, I don't see the Kinsei Blast as a speedy race shoe and that's due to the weight which some people may see as a negative, coming in at 255g for the womens shoe and 310g for the mens (Size 11), so it's at the heavier end for a road shoe but that's to the benefit of all that cushioning. Different shoes for different runs is a phrase I've used many times and it's definitely relevent here. Ultraspire Fitted Race Belt:The best way to carry your phone and goods on the run. No bounce and various sizes for waistFlytefoam lightweight cushioning and then sandwiched in the middle of the midsole is a Pepab propulsion plate which helps channel forward momentum and provide a faster feel. And finally the outsole is AHAR (ASICS High Abrasion Rubber) which is strategically designed to give excellent durability and grip.

Fit: B- (Narrow fit with comfortable engineered knit. Fits half size short due to forefoot taper and aggressive toe spring ) A stiff Pebax plate runs the entire length of the midsole of the Asics Kinsei Blast, which offers little flexibility and thus contributes to the increased responsiveness of the shoes. However, the plate also makes the shoes very heavy, which can become uncomfortable after a while, especially on long-distance runs. The Kinsei Blast is therefore absolutely not suitable for tempo runs over long distances. On the other hand, the sole is very robust and durable thanks to the Pebax plate. In terms of stability, the shoe is only average despite the plate, heel caps, and midsole side walls. This is mainly due to the narrow lasts or the narrow construction of the Kinsei Blast, which appear very unstable and wobbly, especially in the midfoot area. Asics Kinsei Blast: Best Running Shoes UK Personal: C- ( I want to like this shoe more, but the narrow last, aggressive toe spring and tapered toe box make this shoe extremely uncomfortable for me. The Gel Kinsei Blast was a shoe that peaked my interest the first time I laid eyes on it. Let's be honest, it's a mean looking shoe isn't it !? But that's no surprise given it's inspired by the Japanese Samurai armour and designed with a mindset of protection and freedom of movement.
