Immerse yourself in flavours of smooth Tuscan juniper, zesty lemon and grapefruit, floral lavender and a hint of pepper spice. Ruled by the full moon, our gin is macerated in fresh Sicilian lemon peel for seven days before its release into the wild.

Glass of ice, 25ml LoneWolf Peach and Passionfruit Gin, light tonic water, fresh slice of peach to garnish. We rejected 39 different Junipers before we landed the ultimate berry – which comes all the way from Tuscany to our state-of-the-art distillery in Ellon.

There are several other premium small batch gins, that taste very similar, and don’t stick out ahead of the field. alongside a selection of punchy botanicals, which include Scots pine, lavender flower, fresh grapefruit peel and more.

Everything is done from scratch, which means they are the custodians of their spirit at every stage in its creation. Lavender and citrus notes run alongside a forage of feral pine needles, but it's the fierce juniper backbone that stands this drink tall.

It does, though, have an unusual grassy aroma, and doesn't have the the herby botanical flavour that I would expect. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Botanicals include Scots Pine, Tuscan Juniper, Grapefruit and Lemon Peel, Pink Peppercorn, Orris and Angelica Root, Mace, Yuzu, Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime, Almonds, Coriander, Lavendar, Cardamom, Passionfruit and White Peach.
