The alluring stillhouses of Japan have captured the interest of whisky drinkers around the world. Through constant learning and cooperation with fellow master blenders and distillers as far afield as Scotland, Kimio Yonezawa contributes to a robust culture of Japanese whisky production, delivering the impressive level of complexity and balance the nation’s whisky is known for. They also have Hatozaki Finest Blended, a blend of whiskies up to 12 years. The last is Hatozaki Umeshu Cask Finish, over 12 years and finished in bespoke barrels that previously held Umeshu liqueur. While waiting for the first single malt distilled at the Kaikyō distillery to be sufficiently mature, Kimio Yonezawa uses his skills as a master blender on Hatozaki blend whiskies. Inspired by his travels abroad and his regular exchanges with foreign master distillers and blenders, especially Scottish, Kimio Yonezawa carefully craft Hatozaki whiskies using a two-step blending process. Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. Fruity notes of nectarine and banana appear. Not so bad. Delicate, floral, toffee and berries to taste. Some sharpness can be found. When you add a splash of water, the whiskey opens up like a flower.

The blend is aged in a mixture of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and traditional Japanese mizunara casks from the Hokkaido and Tohuku forests. You are responsible for all activities through your account.
