Ryder's pup tag is used as an honorary status as the leader of the PAW Patrol, but sometimes uses it to communicate with the pups. It wasn’t properly introduced until the Season 9 episode " Pups Meet the Cat Pack" after his old one was eaten by Meow-Meow.He also knows how to operate all of the PAW Patrol's equipment and gadgets, but he is too big to drive their vehicles. In the Ultimate Rescue sub-series, if Marshall is leading a mission, Ryder drives his standard ATV, but repainted. In the Mission PAW sub-series, instead of his standard ATV, Ryder has a four-wheeled skateboard that acts as a pack on his back until deployed. In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, he reveals that he came up with the motto, "No job is too big, no pup is too small", after rescuing Skye, seeing how brave a small pup like her could be. In the Air Patrol sub-series, Ryder wears a white flight suit with blue and red highlights that allows him to glide through the air.
