Longevity and sillage is over the top in a good way, and I’ve gotten compliments on the first day of wearing it to work. This scent is strangely enveloping, just like an Issey Miyake coat, the fabric overwhelming in it's comfort. That said, it seems to me that L'Eau Majeure D'Issey crossed the line and abandoned the roots of the classics of the line Pour Homme (traditional, intense and sporty) and decided to fit in the pattern of oceanic scents. Great for sitting down and contemplating, day dreaming, creating, losing yourself in a good book or film (sea adventures perhaps), rather than for a fun night out with others.

It does not seem synthetic, it has a good projection (although it exudes for a short time, because of the volatility of the top notes) and it has a good durability, although it becomes soft with the passing of the hours. I also feel like it's been a metaphor for us in some way, and we have reached an understanding, just like I can sympathize with those who find this unbearable, and also with those who smell an elegant, well-composed piece of work. But there was a point where this all turned, and from that point on, I could only smell this as the synthetic mess some have mentioned below. But I can not let go of my unbiased sincerity and I am forced to say that this scent made me imagine diving into the sea, but it left me feeling like a dip in the pool. This is an aromatic-and-aldehyde scent, following the same theme idea of Versace eros parfum, SpiceBomb night vision edt, and JPG le beau. I often wonder if people just find a great scent and then immediately come here and give it a bad review, because they don't want others wearing it.
