About this deal
Despite its massive size, you can get this tent up in just a few minutes. It also comes with reflective guy lines. One of the biggest complaints I’ve seen about this car camping tent is the price. You get what you pay for, and it’s worth the money. Even on the hottest days, it felt around 10 degrees cooler inside! I can certainly imagine being sat inside the living, looking out onto the sea or a lake and thinking that there probably is not better place to be with my wife sat beside me and the dogs off chewing something. Mrs TentLife would probably disagree, but I don’t think we could get away with taking this tent as hand luggage on a flight to the Bahamas – They have white sand in Scotland you know :o) One of the top reasons I love camping is the ability to see the night sky. So, it’s great that the Ozark Trail Dark Rest had a sky-viewing option. Another benefit of the Coleman instant tent is its instant setup– much faster than the Octagon. Having an instant tent (sometimes called a pop-up tent) is always a plus.
Additional UV protection is provided by Coleman® UVGuard™ with a rating of SPF50 providing excellent protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays. This distinctive tent also has a multitude of uses, from luxury glamping bedroom to expansive festival tent or with the flysheet removed it can be used as a bug-proof screened room. We got the tent up between rain showers and then the wet weather finally left us in peace to enjoy the tent and our wonderful surroundings. First priority was to get a coffee on the go, so as we were camping without an EHU, out came the gas stove and the kettle for our caffeine fix.
The other benefit of camping with children in this tent is that they can use the front screen room. Again, having one of these rooms allows the little ones to get some fresh air without worrying about mosquito bites or other dangers. Plus, the screen room offers better ventilation if you get too hot at night. But, don’t worry; the Quechua has all the features you could hope for, like a flysheet and mechanical ventilation. This is a six-person tent that’s great for family gatherings or for feeling luxurious on a date. The screen room is so large that you can bring things from the house to make it feel homey. These are fiberglass poles, so it’s best to be careful when setting them up because they can be fragile.
Instant tents are fantastic for beginners, but they’re also perfect for a busy family. This one can also host up to two blowup air mattresses, sleeping up to six people. The Sundome has what Coleman calls a “WeatherTec” system. It works most of the time, but I’ve had issues with water leaking into the tent.
