Once out of the box ,I found it to be a fantastic little device perfect for maintaining your hair from split ends , (perfect if you can’t go to the hair dressers as often). It is easy to use and results seem to be good up to now, although I have only used it once. It can be used every six weeks and I am looking forward to using it again and I am optimistic . The Split Ender PRO is Bi-Volt designed to work from 110 to 240 around the world. If you can't see your country's plug option, you can use a global adapter to fit other country's plug.
In terms of usage, you definitely want to work in small sections, working your way around your head. I usually start from the bottom and then work my way up if needed.Easy to use and does what it says it does. The only downside is the the on switch is easily accidentally turned off when changing the direction of the split ender, hence just giving 4 stars. The verdict: We really LOVE this product, and if you’re someone who rarely cuts their hair or wants to trim your hair without losing length, we highly recommend this. It is a bit of an investment, but if you consider the fact that this device should last you for years, it means you can save yourself a lot of money in haircuts – although we do recommend getting a proper cut or trim every six months regardless. Even with a split end trimmer, I think patience pays off, and if you take your time, you can get some really amazing results. How to use it: The hair should first be washed and dried without any product – this means that each hair strand passes freely through the device. The hair then needs to be sectioned and divided into small pieces (around one inch) before it goes into the split end trimmer – kind of in the same way you’d use a pair of straighteners. Each section of hair should be ‘trimmed’ three times to ensure no hairs are missed. If you have very curly hair, it’s recommended that you straighten it first.
The Lescolton Split End Trimmer is an automatic split end remover that works pretty well to rid your hair of unsightly ends. The Lescolton does tend to take a few more passes through the hair to achieve the same results as the Split Ender PRO. The two devices are essentially the same, the only difference is The Split-Ender PRO also comes with some additional pieces in the kit, as well as the option to choose between trimming either 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) or 1/8 inch of hair – The Split-Ender PRO2 only has the option to trim 1/4 inch (which is the setting we chose to use anyway). The short answer is no, split end trimmers are not inherently bad for your hair. That said, you have to understand that the way you use one is going to determine how good of a result you get.Next, I separate my hair into four parts. Taking a small section of hair (smaller than you would for a curling wand) I brush downwards with the machine. It might sound like a blender is about to blitz your hair, but rest assured, it only cuts at the ends. Although a little fiddly to use at first, this hair tool does the job in a fraction of the time without you having to search for split ends and damaged strands in correct light etc. I have fine (but with good density) curly/frizzy hair, so I bought the mini splitender, and it is absolutely perfect for my hair. After using the splitender my hair became soft and bouncy with little to no frizz, even without straightening!
